| Professor Patrick Yu-Wai-Man is a renowned consultant ophthalmologist and neuro-ophthalmologist specialising in optic neuropathies, genetic eye diseases and mitochondrial disorders. With over 250 peer-reviewed publications, his research focuses on the genetic basis of inherited eye conditions and the development of innovative treatments, including gene and stem cell therapies. Professor Yu-Wai-Man holds senior academic positions at the University of Cambridge and UCL, and he is a fellow of both the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in neurogenetics and optic nerve disorders. |
