Please tell us more about your areas of expertise.

I am an expert in cosmetic eyelid surgery, especially upper and lower blepharoplasty. I specialise in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, for example, operating inside the eyelids to reduce appearance of tired-looking eyes and under-eye bags. I believe in taking the whole patient into account when delivering care.

I have been trained extensively at a fellowship level in aesthetic surgery before taking up my consultant post in 2010. I am also trained in Mohs micrographic surgery which is a very specialised type of surgery to remove skin cancers with minimal tissue removal. I now work with dermatologists to deliver this specialised type of surgery.

Why do patients come to see you?

The eyes are a defining feature of the face, and when patients consider cosmetic eyelid surgery, they deserve expert care. With years of specialised experience in eyelid plastic surgery, I am dedicated to achieving natural, refined results that enhance individual features while prioritising aesthetics, safety, and eye health.

I work with patients seeking eyelid rejuvenation for both aesthetic and functional reasons, helping them regain confidence and comfort. Many people feel as though time has made them “invisible,” and I offer subtle yet effective enhancements that restore a refreshed and vibrant appearance.

A significant number of my patients come through professional and personal recommendations, including high-profile individuals who trust my discretion. My meticulous approach ensures not only beautifully enhanced results but also a smooth, comfortable experience with minimal downtime. I have developed advanced anaesthetic techniques to optimise patient comfort.

Committed to the highest standards of safety, I employ innovative techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes. I am also well known for corrective surgery, often treating patients who have had unsatisfactory results elsewhere.

If you have patients considering eyelid rejuvenation, I would be happy to collaborate to ensure they receive expert, tailored care.

Please tell us about your research projects.

My research interests span a wide range of topics, encompassing both the medical and surgical domains, alongside a focus on surgical education.  I have contributed extensively to the academic field, authoring several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, and co-authoring two volumes of an interactive manual on plastic surgery.

Please tell us about your charitable work.

I have had the privilege of working with charitable organisations, including Facing the World, where I was part of a multidisciplinary team performing ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgery in Vietnam in 2010. Additionally, I serve as a trustee of the Moorfields Korle Bu Trust Hospital in Ghana, where I am involved in delivering a curriculum for the West African College of Surgeons. My focus is on equipping surgeons with the skills and knowledge to train the next generation, fostering sustainable improvements in surgical education and patient care.
