The Autodrop® is for use with eye drop bottles. It is designed to help you with the stablepositioning of the bottle over your eye, so you can accurately squeeze a drop into your eye.
Instructions for use:
- After washing your hands, unclip the Autodrop® andplace the neck of the bottle into the holder of the clip, with the nozzle facing towards the main body of the aid.
- Lie down or sit down comfortably, then remove the bottle cap and close the Autodrop® clip. It should clip shut easily.
- Tilt your head back and lower your bottom eyelid using your finger.
- Place the aid over your eye with the main body of the aid against your cheek. Look through the pin hole at the top, and when ready, squeeze the bottle to release a drop.
- Unless your clinician has advised otherwise, close your eye and gently press the inside corner for 30 seconds to help prevent the drop entering your mouth.
- When finished, open the Autodrop® clip and replace the cap of your eye drop bottle.
Please note: the Autosqueeze® can also be used together with the Autodrop®.
